Blind optimism wins again!
Looks like my finances will be okay.
I contacted the finance department to check a few things, and I double checked her answer as well! I get full wage at the end of July, half wage for August and full wage for Sept. It was Sept I was worried about as under my current claim contract, I would have had no money in Sept as I didn't work in August... yet would still have to afford getting to work...
But it's all fine and dandy and I don't have to worry about it! I also only need 4 days medieval princess work to make up a full august wage! Hopefully I'll get more than that though, I'm still dreaming of xbox joy as well as moving out of this damp mouldy tatty flat.
I am a bit concerned whether Leo will join me on the next team. He's having to reapply for his own job due to a contract change, but it's been advertised externally as well, so there are quite a few other candidates. He's also applied for a couple of other posts that are better pay, and I can't blame him for that really even though I've told him I will gatecrash his interviews and fuck his chances as I don't want to work with anyone else but him!!
What will be will be and I won't fret about it, but I'd like to continue the working relationship I have with Leo and it would feel like starting from scratch to have a new team leader.
Just 4 more working days.... I'm very anxious about the presentation and next week, but there is a big shiny summer sun of a light at the end of the tunnel and rarely have I felt I deserve a holiday more than now!
