First off, I'd like to thank everyone for helping me out in my last poor_skills post about bank recommendations. I haven't yet settled on one, but I definitely won't be going with Wachovia, haha!
Anyway, here's my new "problem." I just received a free slightly-used 30 gigabyte video iPod from my boyfriend's brother. He didn't give me the cord or anything else that came with it, just the iPod itself, which on it's own is pretty useless if the battery is dead and there is nothing loaded onto it. He didn't give me the manual, charging cord, software, or anything else that may have come with it in the box.
So that brings me to my question: Are there any online retailers that sell the iPod USB cord for cheap? I really have no idea about iPods, so I have no clue as to what they might set me back. I have noticed that all the other accessories are usually overpriced every time I look around the MP3 section at Best Buy, but I've never seen prices for those cords!
Also, do you HAVE to use iTunes to load music onto your iPod? I have a lot of MP3s, and I've heard that you can only rip CDs into iTunes and then load them onto your hardware that way. Is there a way to drag-and-drop files with Windows Explorer? That's a feature I loved about my old busted Creative MP3 player.
Thanks for the help! :)
