A month ago today, I turned 26 years old. 26 is more than a quarter century.

I used to honestly believe that being grown up wasn't half as fun as growing up.

Now I know better.

To paraphrase Randall Munroe, now that I'm a grown-up I know that it's my turn to decide what that means.

I'm feeling pretty stoked about this revelation.

Its only Wednesday and I'm already having kind of a weird week in more ways than one. My rhythm is all off-kilter, ranging from the fact that I didn't blog at all on Monday to the fact that I didn't end up going to work yesterday. Last month Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early Spring for the first time in eight years. If the prolonged spell of arctic air we've suffered through in Boston this week is any indication, March still has every intention of coming in like a lion. In just under a month it will be my birthday. I'm turning twenty-five. I will be a full quarter of a century old. And on that day I will be as solidly in my mid-twenties as I'm going to get.
