A few weeks ago Lee started to say she had all this stuff going on that made her think, for sure, she was pregnant. She started taking tests about 2 weeks ago, and they came up negative, but after a few days the  pink line started showing up (I was pretty happy with the fact that Lee considered a negative result as "failing" the test ( Read more... )

While at work, a patient was talking to Lee and says, "I had a vasectomy, and they numbed one side, but forgot to numb the other side. So they do the numb side, and then start the other, and I almost passed out screaming before they stopped."

Lee replies, "well, I guess they dropped the ball on that one."

(No, she didn't do it on purpose).

Fri Zman crashes hard at daycare. Lee takes him to a dentist who says he needs to pull out his 2 front teeth. I tell her don't do it, we can get a 2nd opinion later. She starts hunting around for another dentist at 4PM on Fri, and they'll all closed. When I get home she yells at me for not letting her have his teeth pulled out. From the 1st ( Read more... )

Lee's interning to be a dental assistant at an office that only treats CHIPs kids (welfare insurance). So after her 1st day she comes home just mortified over it. The big issues were they don't allow the kids' parents to come in with them, and that they strap down some kids to work on them.
