Christmas Countdown: 19 December 2008
Happy Friday! I'm sorry that this entry is way late - I've been wiped out after work all week and ended up falling asleep on the couch. In any event, I'm back and bringing an old favorite to the table today: the Chocolate Orange!
Tha she blows: the Terry's Chocolate Orange! Beloved for years, this one is of the dark chocolate persuasion. If it wasn't painfully obvious, the Chocolate Orange is simply a ball of orange-flavored chocolate designed to split apart into wedges after being WHACKED on a hard surface. That's the terminology..."Whack & Unwrap"...so, let the whacking begin!
BLAM! With a powerful crash, the Chocolate Orange splits into a bunch of wedges and shares its chocolatey secret with the world! They've even got little etchings in the pieces to make them look like juicy little orange slices of the real variety. So yeah - they're really good! The orange flavor is pretty subtle. I'm not sure if it's the dark chocolate hiding it or what, but it's an enjoyable combination through and through. It seems like it would be pretty tough to eat the whole thing in one sitting, so I'll be snacking on Chocolate Orange for the next couple of days. Pick one up yourself, why don't ya? They're as much fun to whack as they are to eat!
