Well that's probably because it IS based on a human.
This particular human has pretty much disappeared to all that wish to find him.

Alright, I understand. That was an odd thought in the first place to wonder about including him but not here, but I understand it now that ya'll have helped explain.

Like I said above, I think for this moment I'm going to pull back and regroup about this idea.
But would this device be alright, if theoretically it had a 'post of it's own' but was initiated by the hidden human?

Actually, I've discussed it with Vyck and we've agreed that after the revisions you've mentioned, it should be good to go! Thanks for taking the time to consider it, actually - it makes everything run much more smoothly when people are willing to cooperate and consider other options. It would just be all kinds of confusing and unfair to everyone if I just popped in and made up things that could mess with other people too much. :< I am playing WITH other people, so it's not good to mess them up.

I think I will be back soon, I just need to refine my OC some in how I'm going to present someone who is hiding, and find someone who will want to play with the shiny new purple pokedex before I leave it out there and no one wants it, thus loosing it's purpose.

Oh lol no, I've only played one character who's not gotten past his intro. I read how the general mechanics worked, but I didn't really look too far into it as it wasn't pertinent for him.

Again, though, thanks so much for being so reasonable, because it's surprising how many people...uh, aren't; it honestly makes my day to know that we have players that are willing to actually work with us and be so nice about the whole thing. As Vyck said, this idea shows a lot of promise - and if you want someone to play with the shiny new purple Pokédex, if you don't have anyone in mind I'd be down for working with you on it, if you'd like.

Oh, I don't ever recognize people in real life, I don't know how to recognize people on the computer with other names unless they have a REALLY distinct way of talking. ;;

I don't understand the point of being unreasonable. I doesn't really get anyone anywhere, and this idea only works with the help of others.
Would you? I don't really have anyone in mind because I haven't talked to any other muns besides my sister. I'm not big on instant messengers, so I miss out that connection because that's what most people do.

If I'm bogged down with work and stress, I have so many ideas. But the days I can afford to laze and do nothing I have no juices.

I'm replying to this comment instead of our above thread because basically Dal has said what I have wanted to. Seriously, thank you for being understanding and generally decent about this whole thing; it honestly means a lot. I'll also doubly confirm permission for your character to use his Pokedex as a tool. This idea shows a great deal of promise and potential to work and to work well.

Also, if you have any further problems concerning this or concerning anything at all then don't hesitate to come to myself or to Dal. We like to think that we're approachable!

Haha, thank you. /sob ;; I really thought this idea was an interesting one even if I didn't know how it was going to all work, but I didn't want to mess anything up so I'm so happy that you guys helped me work it out instead of looking at me funny and telling me to gtfo.
