All the chaining guides I can find tell you what to do to make your chain as long as possible, which, as far as I know, serves to encounter shinies. But what about the Pokémon you can only find using the Pokéradar, such as the Nidorans in Platinum? Are they just random, or is there a pattern/technique/whatever you can apply to make them more likely ( Read more... )

I'm trying to find some ways to enhance my D/P experience, and remembered via reading another post that you can chain shinies... What are some tricks to that? I've tried the PokeRadar a few times, but haven't gotten any results. I'm looking through some guides, but I also want to hear some tips and techniques from you guys. :)

I've been chaining pokemon with the help of Pokeradar for only a week (no shinies yet >__>) but I might say I got into it quite well. My chain of 60 Murkrows broke yesterday night right after the midnight, damn the Friday 13th. So... I was thinking I could give you some advices and tricks I learned from my mistakes.

Quick question about swarms...

Absol was my swarm for June 27th, i was chaining it until past midnight (on the same chain)...It is now June 28th, will I have the Absol as my swarm still...or no...(sorry if that makes no sense, i;m dead tired)...thanks
