AND THEN CAME TEAM ROCKET. Granted, at least they aren't directly attacking the CMA, though there is clearly something going on with one of the smaller mountains on the eastern outskirts of the area

[ Moltres was just chilling out in a tree when the nearby Pokemon went absolutely insane. At first, she just looks down at the rampaging Pokemon with mild curiosity. What are they rampaging over, anyway?

Then, she decides that what they're doing looks a little like fun (or, at the very least, not boring) and that she just might join in.

So now there is a red-haired lady on the perimeter, and she is here to set shit on fire. She's still sane (sort of), but that is some rather crazed-sounding laughter coming out of her mouth. ]

[Mewtwo is still rather new to the island (and socially isolated on top of that), so he hasn't yet encountered any human-formed pokemon. When he comes across a woman cackling and wreaking havoc, the obvious conclusion is that she must one of Team Rocket's covert operatives.

And he has a score to settle with the Rockets.

Moltres now has a Shadow Ball volley careening toward her.]

[ She's too caught up in setting thing on fire to notice the the Shadow Ball heading her way. So it hits her in the face and knocks her over. She is able to jump to her feet pretty quickly, however. When she is on her feet again, she sees Mewtwo and she draws the logical conclusion. ]

Hey now, that was uncalled for!

[He sniffs disdainfully and gestures at the chaos around them. His attack was uncalled for but this isn't?]

[ And she finally takes a look at the surrounding chaos. ]

Don't ask me what's going on. I'm just here 'cause I was bored and wanted to burn shit.

[With a long, low growl, he waves one paw toward the horizon and starts gathering energy in the other. The warning should hopefully be clear: if you're telling the truth and you really aren't involved, why don't you go burn shit somewhere else.]

All right, all right, I get the hint! Obviously not the Mewtwo from my world...

[ Before she turns away, she extends a hand to Mewtwo, then snaps her fingers, and points and winks. ] Later. [ When snaps her fingers, a small flame appears on the end of her fingertip. It dies away quickly. ]

[What was that? Human psychics aside, he's pretty sure that kind of ability isn't at all within the range of normal human variation.]

[Okay, between his existing impairments and the radio static buzzing in his head he was able to follow maybe half of that, but it was enough.]

[He's not quite certain of the details yet, either, but the generalities are pretty clear. Waving one hand at the general chaos, he traces an R across his chest.]

[He shakes his own head, trying to clear it. Whatever this is may not working on him, exactly, but he's still feeling it.]
