\o/!

Maybe not the exact order I'd prefer the standings, but shoot, I'll take it. AND LOVE IT.

Thanks to everyone who sent me Happys, either by LJ or Facebook. :) If you didn't, rofl, I don't care, I forget all the time. I LOVE EVERYONE EQUALLY.

Speaking of, belatedly, Happy Birthday to two of my best LJ friends: forbiddenromanc, clearly the only one out of yous who, like myself, lacks enough shame and has emough of a gag reflex to love who can appreciate the intricacies of the OTP that is S/G. Rae, my little Aves in both spirit and birthday, I hope you had a wonderful day.

And Alex, one of my oldest (timewise, not in age) LJ friends. I think it's been 3 years? Whatevs. Sorry about the Tigers, Alex. But maybe the Red Wings and Pistons will pick it up for them.

Also belatedly, Happy 34th Anniversary to the Real Home Run King. :) That was always my favorite thing about my birthday; Hank Aaron day.

OKAY so for my birthday, I went shopping...with my own money so I guess that's not really a present. But I may or may not got about 160 dollars worth of clothing. >.> That's the problem with working down in Watches now; I'm right next to Juniors/Petites. x(

And I went to SHADY MAPLE where I got FREE BREAKFAST! and you get coupons and stuff so I bought a Chutley poster down in the store. :D And, my mom asked me a couple days ago what I wanted for dinner on my birthday. And I said Domino's. So I got pizza and cheezybread :9

And I got a card in the mail from my birthmother and her sister, with pictures from their vacation in February and I can not put into words how much this bothers me, that she keeps trying to contact me, but um at least she sent me a check for 25 dollars? I don't know.

For another present, I found out Davey Wright's going to be on Letterman again next week. OH LORD. "My tongue is very important, especially on road trips! :D"

Speaking of Everyone Loves David, this? IS DISTURBING! It's to commemorate the final Opener at Shea but it's still creepy.

And,

So, my birthday was almost marred by the possibility that JRoll was hurt. The word "sprain" is never good; severe sprains are harder to recover from than a bone fracture/break. But all is well. So they say, at least.

Within minutes, Victorino was on his feet and smiling. Both players stayed in the game and played large roles in the Phils' three-run, seventh-inning rally.

With no one seriously injured, jokes followed.

"[Victorino] didn't signal for a fair catch, so [Werth] tackled him," catching instructor Mick Billmeyer said.

Retrospectively, since no one's hurt, watching the replay really makes me crack up (even though Victorino is thoroughly sucking at the plate, it's only been a week, and I'm not ready to beg for a replacement just yet). It's almost like Werth is all YAY SHANE YOU CAUGHT IT! *tacklehugs him to the ground, forgetting that Shane is a foot shorter than him*

Also regarding Shane, I sort of love this quote:

"I don't know if you can say, it's having one's number," Victorino said. "We'll go out there [Wednesday] and play nine. We're not going out there saying, 'We own the Mets' or anything like that. That's not the attitude we have. [On Wednesday], we'll forget about beating them nine straight."

lmao backhandedness FTW.

Jamie's pitching made my heart grow three sizes. Not only because it was my birthday but because HE'S INEFFECTIVE CUZ HE'S OLD. Uh-huh.

I'm holding my breath for KK tonight. Because it's doubtful he'll get the hook, like last year, if he finds himself in a jam. It'll be just like last week in Cincy, and I hope if he gets in that situation, he gets out of it. I know he can, it's a question whether or not he will. He was wondeful against the Mets last year though, at the first win of this nine-game streak. Ang and I were at that game, and he got such an ovation when he got pulled. IIRC, it was only a couple weeks into his Major League career, and he gave up two runs even though he didn't have any strikeouts. I remember being just blown away at how he made the NY hitters get themselves out instead of firing the ball past them. He faced Pelfrey in that game too. PART DEUX tonight, with hopefully the same result.

Probables for Saturday, not only Sheets v. Santana, but the Phillies game is Zambrano v. Hamels. Which luckily, I'll get to see most of (I get done work at 7:30 so I'll be home around 8; the game starts at 7).

Which also means, presumably, Game 1 of the Mets @ Phils series, April 18, would be Santana v. Hamels. omg wut. If there is any sort of a God, I will not be scheduled to work during this game.

Jeremy's back on the Fishes roster, but Carroll got sent down to Albuquerque. I never thought I'd be upset to see Hermy return, but Carroll reminds me so much of an '06 BabyFish. He only had one hit in 8 ABs (a triple) but he did so well in the field, 2 assists in 4 games, great arm. Better OF than Hermy, at any rate. :P

I haven't spoken of the Jazz in forever, in my LJ, but I have been keeping up with them. And last night, they clinched the Northwest Division, and against the HORNETS! HA! They took 3 out of 4 against New Orleans this season, which gives me a sort of pride. Even though DWill did pretty lame last night, shooting-wise, he chipped in 16 assists. I would love to see these two teams (and these two fabulous point guards, DWill and Chris Paul), match up in the playoffs, which would be likely if Utah stays the 4, and New Orleans stays the 1. NBA playoffs right around the corner!

kk, if wishes were fishes..., sip bacardi like it's your birfday, david wright: mets kiss-ass, wowie from maui, teh phullies, jazzercise
