But Chase Utley is back on my good side. Also on my good side is Kyle Kendrick. Who didn't have his total A-game in his first start but he got the opportunity to stay in the game and he battled his way out ALL BY HIMSELF I'M SO PROUD! ♥

On Behind the Pinstripes today, there was a spot on how this year is the 100th ann'y of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", and the two MVPs played Simon and Randy and judged videotape'd performances of the song, by different major league players, including their teammate Shane Victorino. lol, Shane spent the whole time asking questions, "Can I say root root root for the Phillies?" and he didn't seem to know the words. So at the end, Ryan said that he was going to make sure that Shane wasn't in the lineup that game, and Jimmy's like, "Kids, stay in school, don't grow up to be like Shane Victorino."
And now on to the FIRST PLACE FLORIDA MARLINS!
I'm getting this close to burning my Hermida shirt. JEREMY. GOD WTF. lol Rich&Tommy were talking about how when Jeremy comes back, he'll hit third and Tommy said, in reference to the almighty bat of Jake, "I'd like to see Jeremy earn that spot."

Bad news for Kay and all my other Dutch Fish-loving friends (which I think is just Kay, but still): Hurk was sent down to AA. Which is good because all damn day he kept trying to strike guys out instead of making pitches to let them get themselves out. And in any other organization he'd be in the minors still anyway. He'll learn, I hope know he will.
So, blinding_voip updated on the heroics of one Mike the J from Friday night, and there was a cute article on the Marlins site about, some of you may have seen it on BBTN, how Jake avoided getting the shaving cream to the face.
Why wasn't Jacobs targeted?
"That was something special for [Robert Andino]," Kensing said of the shortstop, who has minimal MLB service time. "Jake is too much of a pretty boy, and we didn't want to mess his hair up or anything."
Kensing added that the team will have to come up with more creative ways to pie players. He suggested having a few decoys before the shaving cream lands.
This was the first time Minervini acted as if a pie was on the way.
"I don't know why I did it," he said. "I guess because he kept looking back. It was a setup to a punch line."
Jacobs felt Minervini betrayed him.
"I said, 'You've got my back, right?' " Jacobs said on-air. "Then he faked me. But it was fun. It was a good time."

The Fishes got Helms back from the Phils for a PTBNL and $$$.
Which is beyond me, since when do the Marlins have spare cash to just give to other teams. How's about giving it to their OWN players? I'm curious to who the PTBNL is, though. The Phillies need some bullpen help (AS THEY DO) but it's not like the Fishes have tons of guys to just give away. Maybe a BabyFish in the system? Godddd *bites nails*
Finally, if I ask "who watched the Mets/Braves game on FOX on Saturday?" and say "fljda;kfj xD", will you all know what I'm referring to? I CAN'T LOOK AWAY I TRY BUT THEY MAKE IT SO DIFFICULT.
Smoltz ruins everything, seriously. He needs to stfu about Tom, just for once. When I read it in print, their quotes all how "Smoltzie's awesome!" and "No, Tommy's awesomer!", it makes me squee isn't so bad but AGH hearing them actually saying it truly weirds me out, despite it's overt OTPness. I don't know. Smoltz is creepy the end.
But I'm so glad he and the Braves 'pen p0wn'd the NYJS today. THEY LOOKED FOOLISH. ~*SANTANA*~ GOT THE LOSS! And what's funny is that he (God) did very well. Guess you need more than just God to win games. WHO'DA THUNK? It was a painful experience, to say the least, my well-wishing for the Braves. But it paid off.
I think the main reason I'm this excited about the aforementioned Mets/Braves game is because the Phillies and Fish were both so full of lose today. And because now I don't have to put up with this OMG SANTANA! bullshit this coming series.
I also caught bits, pieces, and the final 3 innings of the Brewers game today, and BenSheets was spectacular. Even though the Giants are, y'know. Bad. I have Brewers tag now, by the way.
