Last night was that ceremony thing for Ryne Sandberg. The game didn't start till around 7:30, although it was scheduled for 7:05. Lots of screwin' around. And Sandberg didn't even have an autograph session for the fans. I was talking to one of the photographers for the Rphils while I was watching Erie take BP and he said that Sandberg was here in Reading a few years ago and was kinda snotty about giving autographs. That makes me sad. :(
cosmosmariner, I did get a program for you, though. And I'm sure you can check out the
RPhils website, see if they have any good shots of Ryno.
OH, so, my dad told me on Saturday night that the hitting coach for Erie is none other than Pete Incaviglia. So I brought my yearbook along in hopes of getting an autograph, but no luck. I caught him as he was going in to the locker room, and he said he'd sign when the players come back out to the field, but I had to be back in my stand by then. :( Maybe tonight, though? :)
Like just about everybody else I think some of the All-Star selections suck. But I'm proud of Chase and Howard and a little surprised that Flash got picked. Not like, "OMG he's not good enough" but I just figured Garner might go with Wagner or something. So yay for that.
And I guess LJ is a douche (Big News) 'cause
cartards ordered me a paid account but LJ still hasn't given me one, so I'm goin' with a sponsored account until they decide to STOP being all douchey.
OH, and, under the topic of "Things That Make Me Laugh Obnoxiously Like A 12-Year-Old Boy":
This article about athletes in an eating contest and the line:
"Can Johnson use his mouth for 12 minutes for something besides yapping?"
which, out of context is EXTREMELY funn-ay. xD xD xD xD
FIVE DAYS! :D
I want to write Marlins-slash. And I think I will tonight. :X
