This year all participants will respond to a single sign-up post. Please review the various guidelines before submitting your sign-up post. If you later decide to participate in a capacity you did not originally sign up for, you are not required to come back and edit your sign-up form. The purpose of sign-ups is simply to give me an idea of who's participating and allow me to approve your admission to the participant community (
podparty).
Podficcers
- Your mission is to record a podfic that has a running time of at least one hour. We recommend selecting a story of at least 10,000 words.
- You have the option of teaming up with an artist, beta or cheerleader by responding to an OFFER or making a REQUEST at
podparty. - If you respond to an artist, beta or cheerleader's OFFER, please be aware that they have the right to decline if they feel that they are not a good fit for your project.
- When it comes time to post, you will be responsible for seeing that all artistic contributions are incorporated into the final product.
Artists
- Your mission is to make an artist contribution to the podfic. This contribution may come in the form of designing a podfic cover (300x300 pixel minimum, multiple covers welcome if you're ambitious), providing sound effects, incorporating musical selections, composing an orginal score, creating a podfic trailer or vid, or fulfilling some other creative request.
- By signing up, you agree to provide your assistance to podficcers at
podparty by either making an OFFER or responding to a REQUEST (or both). - You have the option of teaming up with a beta or cheerleader by responding to an OFFER or making a REQUEST at
podparty.
- If you make an OFFER, you are not required to accept all requests made to you by interested podficcers. Accept one (or more) requests that peak your interest; don't force yourself if you have no creative inspiration for a particular project. Just let the interested party down nicely.
Betas/Cheerleaders
- Your mission is to support podficcers and artists by: listening to rants; offering advice; listening to podfic or previewing art drafts and providing reviews, comments, and general squeeing.
- By signing up, you agree to provide your assistance to podficcers and/or artists at
podparty by either making an OFFER or responding to a REQUEST (or both). I highly recommend starting with an offer so podficcers can seek you out more directly. Historically, our betas/cheerleaders have been few (but much appreciated!). - If you make an OFFER, you are not required to accept all requests made to you by interested podficcers/artists. Accept one (or more) requests that peak your interest; don't force yourself if you have reservations for any reason. Just let the interested party down nicely.
