also there's a lot of drilling happening next to my desk and it's not helping

Good morning, internet.

I'm feeling very tired and very overwhelmed and very disconnected today. This too shall pass, I suppose.

Last night we signed a lease! It's very exciting and also kind of sad? I really like the new place and the new neighborhood is ADORABLE and in walking distance of adorable things (and a Starbucks) and our new grocery store is going to be THE SHAW'S OVER THE MASSPIKE. You know the one! (Well, if you drive on the MassPike into the Boston area, you know the one.) Jesse tells us that there is an intricate conveyor belt system to get groceries down to the parking lot. (Jesse is sort of going to be our neighbor, now. In that we live in the same town, nowhere near each other.)

But it's a little sad because it's far away from all our friends. I know those of you who live in places where everyone drives are probably rolling your eyes, but there are a limited number of people in our friends group with cars because...public transit. But we'll adjust, I'm sure.

I wish we could just skip to the part where we're all moved, though.

This is the plan for the next few days:
Thursday night: Parking office, packing dishes
Friday night: Vienna Teng show with littledust and metonymy
Saturday: Picking up boxes, brunch with aesc, packing in the evening
Sunday: Packing
Monday: Pick up keys for the new place
Tuesday - Thursday: Packing
Friday: Drive to NJ with threeforgirls
Saturday: Concert
Sunday: Drive back

And then sometime the week following we'll be officially moving the bulk of the stuff.

I need to sleep at some point too, but the reality seems to be that no matter how much I sleep, I'm still tired, so it doesn't really matter, I guess.

I'm so cranky today. I wish I knew why. Everything is rubbing me the wrong way. I'm trying not to take it out on you, internet, I promise.

At least Gail is here today. We've missed her ♥

How are you, internet?
