not actually nano
So, I'm not doing NaNo officially this year. I have too many other things going on--I need to finish a handful of projects with imminent deadlines and I'm working full time and, you know, depressed so...less stress by not doing it.
ANYWAY, the point is that, despite this, I am trying to write at least a little bit every day, even if it's not on the same project. momebie is posting a picture prompt every day in November, so I thought, "Yes, self, let's do that!"
The prompts have been pretty cool so far and at the end of the month I'll probably repost my progress, but I thought I'd let the rest of you kids know about it in case it was ~*relevant to your interests*~. The tag for it is here, if you're interested in following along but don't actually know KL!
I've been posting the ficlets on AO3 as I go, but in case you're not AO3 inclined, here are links to the first five things I've written:
Charles/Erik + Moira, Modern AU - Vegas, Baby - Charles gets carsick. Then he and Erik make out in the back of a car.
Alex/Darwin (background Charles/Erik) - non-beach divorce, everybody lives AU - Automaton - Alex and Darwin make a discovery while cleaning out old rooms of the Xavier mansion.
Raven/Angel (background Charles/Erik) - Modern AU - Green line to Lechmere - Raven hates public transit.
Erik/Charles + Moira, daycare verse - Common Ground - Erik and Moira have a bad movie night. (I don't like this one.)
Charles + Moira - creepy horror-y Modern AU - Catacombs - A stranger broke into Charles' house, demanding to see his late stepfather and his business partner. Charles is determined to find out why. (I really, really like the idea of this one and I have to talk myself out of writing the whole thing.)
