Hello, internet! How are you? I'm okay! I'm better than I was yesterday, and I suppose that's all I can ask for.

Here's a video from Pippin. Normally, I don't advocate putting embedded videos above a cut, but... this is Ben Vereen. Also, it's Saturday.

And, for those of you who might be in need of the OBCR of Pippin, well, I just happen to have that handy!

I hope I made your day better!

There's a book meme going around. I stole it from krabapple, 'cause I love her best.

The book I am reading: Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit. It's a re-re-reread. I just reread it a few weeks ago, but now I'm maybe using bits of it for a fic I've been kind of working on since July, so I'm going back through and flagging particularly useful quotes/passages.

The book I am writing: Ugh. Um, currently, I guess, it's a queer YA coming of age story. It's been... indefinitely stalled while I try and get my writing magic back and push out a few more stories so I can say goodbye to Torchwood without feeling like I left things unfinished.

The book I love most: Whoever made this survey is a masochist. I'm taking a page from krabapple's book (hee! see what I just did there?). My top five, in no particular order:

1) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
2) Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard
3) The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
4) Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
5) The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin

Runners up: The Picture of Dorian Gray, Olivia Saves the Circus, Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich, How They Met, HP: PoA, and The Partly Cloudy Patriot

The last book I received as a gift: The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan. solsticezero brought it when she visited for FGPP! I read it in about an hour and it made my heart hurt. (In a good way.)

The last book I gave as a gift: The Red Garden by Alice Hoffman. My mom love Alice Hoffman. I pre-ordered it for her as a Christmas present.

The nearest book: Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy, Rapunzel's Revenge by Shannon, Dean, and Nathan Hale, and Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn are all sitting in a pile at my feet.

It is Bad Movie Weekend, internet! As soon as I eat something else and take a shower and maybe build my desk, I will type up last night's bad movies! (And if you were annoyed by four hours of constant out-of-context quotes last night, you should probably unfollow me on Twitter until tomorrow morning, because we have two more cinematic masterpieces on deck for tonight. INCLUDING HATCHET II. I hope you're all as excited for that one as we are!)

Anyway, I need to shower and make some toast and re-read all my picture books and build a desk. I will CATCH YOU LATER, internet.
