hi there, internet

Well, it's certainly been awhile, hasn't it, internet? I'm sorry I was gone for so long! I know how lost you are without me. I hope you didn't cry too much.

I have had an action packed week, let me tell you. It was all my own fault, as I agreed to both make eight million dishes for quatredeathlady's Halloween party AND to bake and decorate 72 cupcakes for my mom's work (and another 24 for Nicole's party). I also had to make my costume, plan and execute storytime for the Halloween kiddies, and, you know, actually go to work and do my job every day. It was very crazy, but now it's over and I am almost sad that it's gone. Sort of. I mean, I miss hanging out with everyone, but I don't miss suffocating in my sleep because of my cat allergies.

I'm watching Even More Scariest Movie Moments on Bravo. They just showed my horror movie nightmare, the absolute WORST thing I've ever seen in a horror movie, the thing that I still cannot watch (and may have never watched, actually). It's in Cabin Fever, which is an enjoyable gore fest type horror movie starring Rider Strong (among others) and those of you who have seen it probably already know what I'm talking about. It's about a bunch of teenagers who are spending a weekend at a remote cabin and all get this flesh eating virus. The really squirming, shrieking, shout-out-loud moment comes when one of the girls is taking a bath and starts to shave her legs without particularly paying attention. I think you see where this is going. But god, guys, THE NOISE IS MAKES. I still have nightmares about that noise. I mean, I have watched every horror movie ever. I adore them. BUT OH MY GOD, THAT SCENE.

Anyway. I feel like a lot of these movies are more suspense than horror, but they do mention a lot of horror movies that tend to get overlooked, so I'm a fan of this list. (Right now they're talking about Dead Alive. Oh my god, Dead Alive. Grossest movie I've ever seen in my LIFE. Multiple times!)

So, today started NaNo! I am, in fact, NaNoing this year. I am doing it mostly at pocky_slash_365. We will see if anything comes of it.

I will eventually blog about my life, but I was just hit by a wave of THE TIREDNESS and have to go upstairs and pass out, even though they're only on number 20 of the scariest movie moments.
