back in the day...
So, I'm rewatching "Rose" for the first time in a long time, and it keeps making me smile all goofy-like. I'm going to pause it because In Plain Sight starts momentarily, but it's kind of cool, going back and remembering what it was like to see in the inside of the TARDIS for the first time and how young Rose was, how vaguely-over-the-top the story was, as though RTD was still trying to find his footing. I'm all nostalgic now. Awwww.
Anyway, gosh, I've been busy. I should do an entry about my parents' 4th of July party, if only because I kept threatening to in the wee hours of the night when my aunts and parents and family did increasingly stupid things. But in summary, the fourth we had a party, the fifth I had to work and then went out for drinks with my friends from work, and today I went shopping and bought a dress for no reason.
Dinner and drinks was a lot of fun. I really need to hang out with Lauren and Leslie more, considering they're some of my only friends in New Jersey. We went to Republic for dinner and then to a random bar for more booze. I learned that my friends are kind of lightweights, but hilariously so. Also, the next time we go drinking, it is totally going to be at home so we don't have to keep paying for what we drink. S'damn expensive.
I might take pictures with the dress I bought today. Or not. It depends on whether or not I have a bra that works with it or if I have to buy one tomorrow.
The major stress right now is getting my shit together for my vacation, which starts Wednesday. My parents are letting me take their car, which is AWESOME because, you know, Prius, so I won't be spending $900 on gas. I still have to do nine million loads of laundry, pack, and maybe buy some new jeans? Also, get all my shit together. AHAHAA OH MY GOD I HAVE LIKE TWO DAYS AND I HAVE TO WORK ON TUESDAY. Good times. ::shifty eyes::
But I'm hella excited! I miss cons, I really do. It's so much fun and so awesome to be surrounded by your own kind! Also, krabapple and inocciduous! Also, my imaginary girlfriend Kate Hewlett!
I'm going to finish watching IPS now, though, and then rush through the end of my prompt for today's itsproductivity and post tomorrow's and try and write that and then maybe watch more S1 Who. WE WILL SEE.
