In case anyone missed it, Glory Days closed yesterday after one performance. I feel vindicated.

In other news, I finally got my hands on the new Skulduggery Pleasant. I'm so, so very excited to get into it. I read the first three chapters at work and was already flailing my hands dramatically with love for Stephanie Valkyrie and Skulduggery. I'm going to work on it tonight and hopefully finish it soon. Hopefully not tonight, though, as I need to be up in the morning.

In other other news, I still need new sneakers, I'm dying from my allergies to everything in the world, and I have to bake some cupcakes momentarily. Tomorrow I'm hanging out with moonsheen and a friend of hers and Saturday I'm chilling with the girls from work. I've trashed everything I've written in the past few days, and today I killed a bee at work all by myself. (This is a huge upgrade from Tuesday's bee at work, which left Lauren and me cowering behind the desk and praying it would drop dead.)

There were a group of kids studying from their AP history exam in my department today. They were dumb as bricks. I wish them well, but Johnson came after Lincoln, TR came before Taft, TR was the trust-buster, and "levy" means to impose a tax, not take it away. Those were the errors that I picked up in between finishing the new Gail Carson Levine (Ever. Heartbreaking. More later.) and starting the new Skulduggery Pleasant.

eta: one more thing! Every once in awhile I use What do you get when you cross John Sheppard and Buffy Summers?
Nothing changes - you still have the one girl in all the world who can defeat the vampires. as my away message. It's probably one of my favorite things to come out of thingswithwings and eruthros's jokes told on Atlantis post. But the number of people who don't get the joke is kind of astounding to me. I mean, sometimes people just aren't in the fandom, but sometimes they just don't get it and I don't get that. It really is funny, isn't it? It's not just me?

Have a good weekend, kiddies. See you on Sunday.
