I'm totally in love and obsessed all over again
So, on the drive from Montauk, I listened to the podfic of Written By The Victors.
Oh my lord, guys. I just. Wow.
I can't believe the love in this fandom. The joy. You can tell how much of it went into the construction of this audiobook. The music and the different voices and... god. I just want to keel over with joy. Just keel over with it. The emotion and intricacies of the story were so clear in the reading of it, and putting different voices to the different critics added a whole new dimension to the universe. And the story... god, the story remains everything it ever was. I almost had a meltdown outside of Mineola when the Wraith were bearing down and the SGC was there and John was in the room with the incubator, and I definitely sobbed my way over the Throgs Neck Bridge. It was definitely dangerous driving on the LIE tonight while I was getting down to the end of this story XD
So, this is a random re-reccomendation for this podfic: Written by the Victors, written by cesperanza, with a cast of half of fandom (and a wonderful "book" reading by zoetrope), some of whom are on my flist. YOU GUYS ALL KICK ASS. You were all fabulous. ♥
Take a few hours out of your life and give this a listen, guys. It's so worth it.
