Polls are strange.

So I set up a poll on cosspace, just to see which costume gets more interest: Murder Princess, Iria or Crimson Whirlwind (Romeo x Juliet). Only 7 people have voted (I don't know what time the admins approved the poll yesterday, so it may have missed the bulk of people online). Oddly, Murder Princess is winning. Five for Murder Princess and one for each of the other two. I REALLY figured Iria or Crimson Whirlwind would take the lead. There's still time and for all I know, the people who voted may have been the only other people on the internet who've seen Murder Princess... but the results are definitely interesting. There's a guy on cosspace who has already offered to be the Zeiram for my Iria for next year's Nebraskon. It's really tempting.

Kris brought up an interesting thought on the mechanical animal ears for my Steampunk. I was picturing cat the whole time... as it would have a tail and recognizable ears. (Since dogs don't have a standard ear shape and their tail is more fluffy, that wouldn't work.) He mentioned rabbit ears. I think I even know how they could function. If the top piece was loose and a tube ran through it all the way to a button in the palm of my hand... pressing/squeezing the button could fill the tube with air, inflating it and causing the ear piece to stand upright. In its relaxed state, it could be bent downward. Only downfall of the bunny ears is a lack of tail. I considered fox ears & tail but I think the tail would just look strange out of metal. But then again... a tail might be a bit much anyway. I also worry that bunny ears might be a bit much/over powering over the whole costume. I'm enjoying planning this.
