Contagion

Elephants are contagious!
Be careful how you tread.
An Elephant that's been trodden on
Should be confined to bed!

Leopards are contagious too.
Be careful tiny tots.
They don't give you a temperature
But lots and lots - of spots.

The Herring is a lucky fish
From all disease inured.
Should he be ill when caught at sea;
Immediately - he's cured!

Spike Milligan

Because really, how could I possibly do an entire month of poetry without the magnificent Spike and his amazingly odd meanderings? I desperately want to scan his books into the computer (I have several of the older ones), but I have no idea how to work nevaendinstorey's scanner, and I haven't got one myself, so for the moment it will have to go un done. This may change by the time I get bored enough to wander over here with a huge stack of Milligan in my bag and just play with poke at the scanner until it works, I don't know...

...I cannot think of a way to sign off this post, so I'm not going to, I'm just going to stop.

plum x.

P.S. Where have you all gone? Is everyone at home wallowing in a sea of chocolate just because it's easter soon? Oh I see, it's like that is it? Just us cranky misanthropic bastards left then. Hmmph.
