Christmas is over and we are in the dull interregnum of low light and strange days between Christmas and the New Year holidays. The news is light as politicians  take their holidays. It is most definitely a Thank God it's Friday today judging by the idiots I have already seen today. This morning a woman walking up the slight hill of my road and then breaks into a sprint at the top. All the while wearing skin tight lycra clothing that would benefit greatly from her sprinting up the hill as well.

Every morning this week the trains has been delayed leading me to believe that Southeastern trains can always be relied upon to ruin your journey time. There is apparently a new law on the streets of London. Not all road vehicles now need a light, or some cyclists seem to think. I have seen at least five on my way to the station this evening, some not only light-less but wearing dark clothing. Every Fridays after work - all colleagues from work, I usually play football with them in the sports hall (5 a side). We lost, but not badly. Score was 12:10. Good Game. It has got very warm since early morning and had turned into a lovely day indeed. Looking at the Weather Report and it's saying it'll be all sunny this week, which is good news. I stood slightly further along this morning so I am in the right place for the train.

I wrote a whole post, went to add a picture and it all disappeared - not good. It was witty too. I will try and recreate it. Cannon  Street is confused today - I was on platform 1 waiting to leave, instead of the usual platform 4. It has been too hot this weekend, especially in the last 24 hours. Overnight it was unbearable and this morning it was muggy and was roasting by afternoon - in London, late August. Summer has almost gone and autumn beckons and then winter will cool us in London which waits, like a disappointed beneficiary.
