Miscellany with Snow

We've had snow this week! Thought at the start of the week that we were going to escape, most of the rest of the country got a lot and we had a mere sprinkling just enough to make the grass a little white when it wasn't under the trees. Then on Wednesday and Thursday it actually snowed - I think we got 3 or 4 inches of snow, which is a lot for ( Read more... )

If it helps at all, I'm very happy with my (much older) Canon EOS camera.

I've seen this a little late as I've just made the purchase :) Went for the Nikon D3100 in the end, as the kit lens it came with has image stabilisation but to get the Canon with an image stabilised lens made the already a little more expensive camera a little more expensive still. And other than that there was not much to choose between them - both felt OK to handle and seemed OK for settings/menus etc.

Now I can't play with it till Christmas :o

I'm sure they're both good cameras. It's all about the scene composition, choice of focal depth, what to focus on, etc rather than the make of body or megapixels anyway.
