Today we are in the middle of a terrifying storm system. My 8am appointment to see the doctor got canceled yesterday afternoon in anticipation of the storm's ugliness and when we woke up this morning there was a 1/2" crust of ice over everything outside. Broke out my new sewing machine last night and Adam and I fiddled with it for hours, taking turns. I figured out how to thread it, he figured out better ways to adjust things, and we worked together to make Deli a little sleeper sack/dress out of squishy warm brown fleece. I want to sew. I really, really do. I'm not sure why. I've always liked to hand sew but now I want to do bigger projects than just adding appliques to a skirt or making small purses and clutches. Been crafty today! I painted on both doorways off the living room- the doorway leading to our bedroom/ollie's room/the bathroom is multi leveled and the inside is yellow and the outside is orange. I like to move it- from the madagascar soundtrack? Oliver loves that song. When he hears it he instantly starts dancing, stomping his feet, and spinning. I'm in a good mood. Today I'm going to break out the tutus and dance with the kids for a while. My mum got Emmy a cute little skirt that's ruffled at the edges and looks kind of like a tutu without the fluff so we'll both be sillied-up.
