Happy International Women's Day, all you marvelous womens out there!  <3

I left the kid-stickers on the one back window of new-to-me car, but I got most of the other random inspection stickers and other gunkage scraped off the rest of car today - Goo Gone worked like a charm, thankee :D

Verdict from the doctor today is yes, probably a mild ( Read more... )

Tennis balls suddenly take on a whole new meaning.

And UGH at your doctors, though I'm glad that at least you aren't about to keel over of brain injury. Hopefully. Please don't. *hugs* I hope you get better soon :)

AND awwwwww Kettle and Toast~

He's my best friend, best of all best friends, do you have a best friend too~

Plus, when I'm done with the tennis balls, instant kitty and doggy toys! :D

Admittedly my communication skills are not at their best in the doctor's office, but really, it's starting to get kind of ridiculous @_@

Don't worry, no keeling over ^^ *hugs*

Such buddies <3 When I had them both at the vet office, and the vet walked in, Toast ran and hid under Kettle XD

The tennis balls sound like a wonderous thing!

You might try my trick for the doctor - I write down what I want to discuss with him starting a week or so before my appointment. I then have a written list of what I need to cover with him and my reasons why. It's a really effective system and saves a lot of time.

Kettle and Toast are so cute together! I'm glad it's not just my dog and cats that like to be in the same space when they're napping.

I couldn't believe how well they worked!

I started doing that, actually - and I think I'm being pretty clear about my concerns, but somehow by the end of the visit I don't feel like the doctor heard a thing I said. I'm thinking of just writing everything out, letter or bullet point form, maybe with multiple choice answers, and giving up on the actual "speaking" part.

Toast loves to nap with Kettle, but I'm not so sure it always goes the other way around - you've never seen anything so pitiful as a big ol' doggie trying to nap but there's a kitten nomming her ears XD

Well, at least your doctor(s) seem to have some sort of idea, as in they can actually diagnose stuff. I broke my arm once, but they weren't sure I'd broken it, and sent off to a fracture clinic three hours away, (three weeks after the original injury had occured, mind you) whereupon I was told that I may well have broken it, but it'd already started healing, so whatever :/

Well, at least it's only a mild concussion?

Hooray for not being all twisted and knotted up :) And tennis balls are a novel idea, I'll give the therapist lady that!

Also, that is the sound of my brain melting at the adorable of Kettle and Toast, both at once, together. D'aww.

Sheesh! I know hairline fractures and such aren't always all that obvious, but still, three weeks is a long time to walk around with a broken arm! Although my Grandmother slipped ice skating once, and claimed she was fine, and when her wrist swelled up like a balloon we made her go to the doctor and it turned out she'd broken every single bone in her wrist. My Grandma, really high pain tolerance *shakes head*

Yep - I'm functional, more annoying than anything. I'd hate to know what a serious concussion would be like though.

Hooray! It still amazes me that I managed to get that out of whack without any clue (and that the docs didn't have a clue either) of what was going on.

Ah, nothing like the sound of melted brainz XD

Well, they did slap a half-cast on it just in case, but yeah. The joy of sucky doctors in isolated areas, I guess :/

Your Grandma is hardcore O_O

... I think I missed something... why did you have a concussion? And why is everyone mentioning tennis balls? ... Oh dear... I can see it already XD LOL

Muscle pain? Why don't you ask your doctor to test you for Fibromyalgia? It's what I have and it looks very similar. Though wow massage therapy? I need that! XD I know your pain though so hang in there till your shoulder blades decide to stop being stubborn. I know mine won't leave me alone! T.T

LOL Now I read this properly and get why everyone is mentioning tennis balls. XD How does the therapy work?

*roffle* No I didn't get concussed by a bunch of tennis balls - car crash, about a week and a half ago (see two posts back, I think). I didn't hit my head but got jolted pretty good.

Someone suggested maybe I had Fibromyalgia back when I was trying to figure out what the heck was going on, and when I looked up the symptoms everything matched up perfectly with Chronic Myofascial Pain, which often occurs with FM or can also occur independently. There's a book I found pretty helpful Integrative Therapies for Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Myofascial Pain that goes over the three conditions in pretty good detail, as well as what happens when they overlap when people have two or more. I'm hoping I'm not in the early stages of developing one of the other two, but almost all of my symptoms have improved quite a bit since I started doing the massage treatment and tennis balls ^^ I hope your symptoms aren't too severe - full blown FM doesn't sound fun at all D ( ... )

The animals are cute!

I have problems with my shoulders too. Different doctors have said different things. Everything from a displaced rib to different muscle development in the shoulders. A good sports doc gave me a page with stretches I could do, and they really take the edge off the shoulder pain. I could scan it and e-mail to you if you'd like. Can't hurt, right?

They are my nightly entertainment XD

Yeah, I'm discovering that when it comes to problems that have to do with structure and muscles, the doctors seem to...prefer not to talk about it at all. Maybe because it takes a lot of time - massage therapy lady spent a good 40 minutes getting my description of exactly what had been going on before she even started with anything else. I'm lucky if I can get a doc visit longer than 10 minutes.

Hey, I can always use another stretch! That'd be great if you have time, if not, no worries ^^ You can email to playswithworms at yahoo dot com.
