Happy
International Women's Day, all you marvelous womens out there! <3
I left the kid-stickers on the one back window of new-to-me car, but I got most of the other random inspection stickers and other gunkage scraped off the rest of car today - Goo Gone worked like a charm, thankee :D
Verdict from the doctor today is yes, probably a mild concussion, but neurologically I check out fine (you should see how fast I can touch my nose and then doc's finger and back! *preens*) so just give it time and rest. The other two times I've been mildly concussed it took about a month for all the symptoms to dissipate, so I'll give it two or three more weeks.
This was the first visit with new doc, so I explained the
muscle pain syndrome that I'd diagnosed myself with last fall after that not!carpal tunnel episode, and the massage and therapy treatment I've been doing since January. It's been working great! I kind of sit around enjoying all the not!hurting, these days :) I quit my last docs out of frustration with them throwing pills at what I'm fairly sure is a structural issue (turns out if your pelvis is tilted forward and torqued even more so on one side than the other? Weird things start happening all over your body). I was hoping this new one, since one of his specialties is sports medicine, might be more up on non-pill treatment for things. Not so much - he wants to have me try some muscle relaxant for the problems sleeping and get another blood draw since I had "mildly elevated" rheumatoid levels with a previous one, which previous doc said were not significant. Hmm. So I'm woozy and tired, lets do two other things that are probably going to make me woozy and tired. *sigh*
In all fairness once we checked out all the concussion stuff there wasn't really a lot of time for other issues, so not giving up on this guy yet. I'll try the relaxant things tonight and see how it goes - save the blood draw for next week maybe, better safe than sorry I suppose, although looking at the symptoms of RA...I really don't think it fits at all. For which I'm grateful, because from what I know RA can really suck.
Awesome therapy lady showed me how to treat my weird muscle knots by laying around on tennis balls, which is tedious, but very cheap! And has been working great - my pelvis is in line again, my knees don't hurt, my feet don't hurt, my hips don't hurt, my back doesn't hurt, I breathe better now that my stomach muscles aren't so tight - just my shoulders blades are being stubborn, the muscles there are like poured concrete, but my wrists are great. She uses the
Barnes approach, which set my fish-o-meter bleeping what with the white-bearded fellow being all saviour-like and "attend my classes and buy my video" and promising the cure for all ills, but seeing how I feel not!eighty-years-old anymore, he might have something.
Ok, enough with health babble, have some Kettle & Toast sleepytime:
