Day of Bob 's Sx
I should be sleeping. It's 135 and I have to be up at 430. Hospital at 6. His surgery at 8. 6-8 hours. Squamous Cell Carcinoma -/ laryngeal cancer that survived being cut out and radiation.
If all goes well he will learn to talk again with the prosthesis/stoma.
I can't imagine going in and knowing the best outcome is no voice and breathing through a hole on your neck. So good vibes, energy, prayers -- whatever you've got -- send em our way.
He's been my Bobby since I was four. My dad introduced us to him, thought he'd be a good fit for me and mom. He's been through open heart, heart caths, stints, a stroke, the surgery/radiation for this..,, just need him to pull through again.
