I ended up comparing Ginger (Ginger Snaps) and Angua (Discworld) to Tony Rivers (I Was a Teenage Werewolf) and David Kessler (An American Werewolf in London). I know The Day the Earth Stood Still is supposed to be a failure as a movie and a p.o.s. But I kinda liked it. It wasn't the real version by any means, but it wasn't as bad as people said.
