Weekend Update

So I got kidnapped on Saturday.

GM and the Boy dressed up in all black, broke into our apartment (not hard since Sarah had given her brother the spare keys), and marched us out at watergun point. They wouldn't even let us change out of our pyjamas. But it's cool, because Sarah and I both have clothes at their place. Since it used to GM and Sarah's.

They decided to spend the day pampering us for some reason. They woke us up early enough to make us breakfast, but I ended up fixing it. GM tried to fry an egg without putting any oil or Pam or anything into the pan. He broke it in, *then* turned the burner up to high and about halfway through he poked at it enough to realise that it was sticking. So I made my famous PB&J French toast. Then, we played some kind of game that's basically a bunch of old '80's arcade games made for the X-Box on one disk. There was some game where a monkey, Godzilla, and a robot-thing just destroyed cities for a billion levels, but I didn't play that. Turns out that I am a Gauntlet *Goddess*, though! We had the "add extra health" button and I didn't have to use it anywhere near as much as everybody else.

Then, the Boy and GM made us lunch (cheese sandwiches and chips and salsa). Followed by movie watching.

There were some basic logical fallacies and stuff that totally couldn't have happened, but I rather enjoyed it. The dialogue was pretty good and other than a few scenes there wasn't much that made me cringe and go, "Way to appeal to the male libido." They couldn't put a shirt on the chick? And she definitely would've frozen in Alaska in what she was wearing. I loved the crazy old guy who used to work for the CWI...I wonder if he ever worked with Bennet...

And then because it was only 1430, we watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. That was a fantastic movie. I loved it so much. Especially the Chief and Billy. They were my two fave characters. Though, I'm not sure if I just loved Billy or if I loved him because Mackenzie Crook played him in a play... Still fantastic movie. *crosses off list*

Then we went out to eat at a really nice Thai place and the Boy shot Sarah and my suspicions to pieces. We thought maybe he was trying to show me that he's a good guy so I'll make up my mind about whether or not I want to go back to him. However, he was hitting on our waiter. Our very *male* waiter. The guy was a sort of geeky cute and completely oblivious. Though, he gave GM alot of attention. So after I (giggling the entire time) told GM what was going on, he moved over and he and I sat on one side of the booth and Sarah and the Boy sat on the other with the Boy sitting on the outside. After the waiter *finally* caught him looking at his ass, he gave him his phone number. Since I'm actually happy about this and kinda helped set them up, this is probably the final nail on the coffin of our relationship. Though, I want Bonsai tree visitation rights, dammit!

Then, they took us out to learn how to play paintball; GM and I were on one team and Sarah and the Boy were on the other. It actually turned out being fair, because while GM plays, he's not the best shot and I might as well be in the military. It eventually turned into me vs. the Boy which is great because while I'm clumsy, I'm faster than he is and while he's better at hiding without making noise, he's slow. It actually ended up being a tie since we shot each other at roughly the same time.

We went to Cold Stone for ice cream (they make the *best* white chocolate with M&Ms I've ever eaten). Then went back to their place to watch Slap Shot.

This movie was crazy! I think it was supposed to be a comedy, but the off-the-ice scenes weren't that funny unless they involved the Hanson brothers, the goalie, the French guy, Killer, or the sex maniac...that's pretty much everybody but the non-violence guy and the player/coach. The ending is the best ending to any movie I've ever seen. All the players fight on one half of the ice while on the other the non-violence guy strips! *glee*

The Hanson brothers were easily my favourite characters. *huggles their violent, possibly mentally unstable selves* Though, I have to agree with whoever said they looked funny.

Then, I made cupcakes because I'm crazy. I actually used eggs and milk, because that's what they had. It was an odd experience because I've not drank milk that wasn't chocolate or soy in about a year and I don't think I've eaten real eggs since then, too...

Sarah and I each had two, but between them GM and the Boy ate the other eight. We kinda just stared in awe. Then, I played Jade Empire for a bit while they played some tabletop RPG; I've put my foot down on those. Eventually there was an arguement and I still don't understand why they keep playing with the Boy. Then, we did a Mortal Kombat tournament. I forget which version it was, but I basically wiped the floor with everyone. GM has decided to get me a console that's a little newer than my Nintendo 64 for the next holiday. Which I think is Labour Day, but I'm betting he means my birthday.

By that point, it was way too late to send Sarah and I back to the ghetto without an escort so we crashed in what used to be Sarah's room, the Boy took the couch, and GM slept in his bed. I made pancakes this morning and then after we got back, we found out our power was dead so we went back to their place to do our laundry. Which turned into more video games and GM making us all some crazy casserole for dinner.

ATTENTION: If anybody wants the recipes for PB&J French toast or Jimmy Carter Cakes (which come in vegan and non-vegan), ask and I'll be willing to post 'em. Otherwise, I don't think it's worth the effort.
