I watched her try to make a marriage out of an off and on dysfunctional relationship, in which the guy said he didn't want to marry her. I said nothing. I watched her try to change this same guy's religion and said nothing. I watched her talk about how relationships that aren't centered around religion are definitely going to fail. I said nothing. I listened while she complained about not being engaged after being with the guy for less than two years, and I tried to as objective as I could be without letting on that it annoyed me. Because it did. She talked about how a preacher told her if she, and other couples in general, weren't engaged/talking about marriage within the first three years, it wasn't going to happen. I was with TJ for almost seven years before we got engaged, and now, we're married. I watched her get angry at other people for their choice. I watched her be just downright bitchy and malicious to a mutual friend for a very long time -- only this time...I said something.
I could see that she was being bitchy just to be bitchy, that she was creating drama just to scold our friend. She is no stranger to scolding our friend -- creating mountains out of mole hills, telling our friend that she needed to take her advice to succeed. Don't get engaged before I do. Don't move, even though I did. Don't say anything contradictory to my beliefs, but I'll surely poke holes in yours and everyone else's, for that matter. I am perfect. Worship me. Take my advice. Don't think for yourself. Any man can be fixed with God and the military. And so on and so forth -- and every single bit of it is childish, closed-minded and overreaching.
So, for actually defending our friend, who also had the good mind to actually defend herself after years of this torment, I am now blacklisted. Deleted. Removed. Non-existent. Expendable. This girl would sing my praises, and the second I wasn't singing hers, she couldn't take it. Couldn't take what she dumped all over our friend under the guise of being her best friend.
