Just got back from Robert Moses. My third summer living in Brooklyn and I finally made it out to the beach to see the Perseids. It was a beautiful night, I saw several meteors, although not as many as I had hoped. Picked up my car from the dealer today. Total Bill: $3348.86. In my opinion, it's still running hot. The gauge is still right in the middle which is much higher than it used to be. It used to run right around the quarter mark all the time. I realize the car is getting older and probably will run hotter than it used to, but it makes me nervous ( Read more... )

Just talked to the dealer again. Now they think it might be the catalytic converter, they will know for sure tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with the dealer (yes they STILL have my car) once again. The heads were warped, they sent them out to be machined. They replaced the head gaskets, the timing belt, the thermostat _and_ the water pump, put the whole thing back together and it's still overheating. I was quite cheerful this morning to finally find a Subaru dealer that I like in Brooklyn. They are in Bay Ridge, but it's not so bad, it was only a few blocks from the D train and only took me about 45 minutes to get to work from there.
