Had so much fun today at the (world!) premiere of Joss Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing" at TIFF. jenab, purplediamond, my friend Ali and I got in line 2 hours before the movie, which was a good thing since it was already quite long at that point! Watched "King Kong", "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "The Constant Gardener" yesterday. Nothing major to say about them, KK was better than I expected, the ending of Geisha was ( just in case this is considered spoilery )

Won't do any spoilers, but I must say that all the hype around "Brokeback Mountain" is unnecessary. It wasn't all that and a bag of chips, at least not in my books. It wasn't terrible, just didn't get me going "wow" at the end. "Syriana", now that's a "wow" movie. I'd love it to win best picture, but it won't.

Been catching up on the DVDs I've bought over the last while. Watched "Ocean's 12" and "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" last night, which still make me laugh and cry respectively. Watched the "whatever" edition of "Clueless" today, which led to me having to rewatch "Emma". *happy girly sigh* Now watching Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life", ( Read more... )

Saw a Quebec (yes, French language, but for those who don't understand, there was subtitles ;) movie tonight called C. R. A. Z. Y. It's basically the life story from birth (1960) 'til 'round recent times of a guy named Zachary, who, it so happens, along with his four brothers, their first names spell out the word "crazy". Did cleaning, laundry and packing today, still need to let some stuff dry and I'll pack most everything else tomorrow. I'll have to do the final little bit before I leave on Tuesday since there's stuff I'll need to use until then.
