Well, the plague is almost over....
I was VERY sick for the last couple of days. Fever, aches, sleepys, cough, head cold....the works. I Went into work on Monday and was sent home because I 'was gross' and had a fever. :) Tuesday, I called out. Now, I'm back (YAY!!), but I'm still all of the above, minus the fever and aches. So, over all, I guess its not too bad.
Chad drug me out last night to a tasty dinner, in which he was right, I did feel better after. We had a good time, and we went to a place we don't get to go to very often. He was sweet too, and had no issues with me not looking super presentable. I literally just put clothes on. I didn't do make-up or hair. I just wasn't feeling up to it.
After dinner, though, I was pretty exhausted, went home, updated character sheets, and went to bed. I feel like all I've done the past few days is sleep, but I've been so sick, I needed it I guess. Just taking Dundee down the stairs last night to go pee about killed me.
Apparently, there was some drama over the weekend about Chad not going to some birthday party. I didn't even know he was invited, but after talking to him about it, he wouldn't have gone because he has his Beta B test on Saturday. I think the random phone call he got from Sarah Bragg was the 15th person in the past two weeks that has called Chad to ask if he's 'ever going back to Legynds'.
The conversation is always the same:
Random Person: So, when are you coming back to Legynds?
Chad: *laughs, and in the most polite way he can say it* I'm not.
Random Person: Your not? Not EVER?
Chad: *Polite, once again* Nope. I've got my plate kinda full right now.
Random Person: Oh yeah? *acts like they don't know what he's talking about (LARPers are like Highschool students; they gossip more than the old ladies at church)* Whacha got on your plate?
Chad: I've got something in the works...
Random Person: *frustrated because they didn't get the desired info* I heard your working on your own game...
Chad: I am. It takes up a lot of our time. Just trying to get it finished...
Random Person: Well, we really miss you! You should come back!!!
Poor Chad.
So if any 'Random People' are 'lurking', let me sum it up for you:
Yes, Chad is working on a gaming project and has been since he was asked to 'step down' from Legynds EC 3 years ago. Yes, it is awesome, and it by far the best thing in the Table-Top and LARPing industry I've seen so far (and I'm not just saying that). No, he's not going back to Legynds. No, I'm not going back to Legynds. Yes, we are still happily married. No, Chad or I do not want to sleep with you or have an affair with you. No, we are not planning to 'steal' Legynds or SOLAR players. Yes, we have a good 'PLOT/EC' team. No, we don't NEED more 'experience LARPers' to 'help' us....unless we ask you :). Yes, it is about to take off. Yes, you are a fool for not getting in on the ground floor. :) j/k (sort-of) Yes, we both still have friends that we talk to and see on a regular basis. If you are not one of those people, then we are currently not friends. That doesn't mean that I or Chad hate you, or that we somehow ended on bad terms. It just means that we aren't friends, you know?
We've got the Beta Group A tonight, and I've got to finish organizing player files and office stuff. The dead line is slowly approaching, and I want to make sure that we are done when it gets here.
Lunch time....yum. I want Mexican.
