I love (FEEL the sarcastic overtones) how when you don't know someone very well you aren't allowed to be blunt with them, or go back and tell them you didn't actually know what you were saying when you said something stupid, can't explain that you were just grabbing at air or that perhaps it made sense at the time without looking crazy or creepy.
