OK, so a million years ago I mentioned that I was working on my first men's wear.
I finished it months ago, but was hoping for some decent pictures. Alas, alack, looks like that is not going to happen anytime soon.
So here it is. Its a late 19th century frock coat. I consider it a bit of a rough draft, as I made it from wool, but not the best quality wool, and did not use traditional tailoring handwork.
I was supposed to put in different buttons as he didn't love the ones I picked, unfortunatly he hasn't brought it back yet for me to do that... In addition the inside needs steaming.
I made it for a band/theatrical performance, as you can see he looks quite different in the promotional picture than in the lame snapshots I took. Note the little hooks, pockets and gadget holders that can be seenon the inside of the coat. He is an evil master of ceremonies/mad scientiest type and uses lots of props so there are hidden pockets too.
Cracksmacker is the next victim.
If any boys want one, I would be happy to oblige, starting at 300 pounds for not-expensive wool. Quality wool will up the price.
Sounds like a lot until you take into account how expensive wool is and that it will likely take me 30-40hrs.
