Don't Go There
I work for the decidedly Left-leaning Atlanta Journal Constitution. This is a newspaper. A newspaper with an editorial section. A newspaper which directly profits from the benefit of the First Amendment.
Today - of all days - the management personally delivered a memo reminding its employees to be respectful of other people's political opinions and please curb political discussions. Oh. My. Goodness.
Does that mean it would be wrong for me to call a co-worker a blooming idiot for his/her election choice? How droll. Or maybe this newspaper doesn't want employees engaging in political discussions, period. Kind of ironic coming from an industry built upon the foundation of free speech.
Subversive that I am... I did converse with like-minded conservative allies. So there! Fire me.
