I was without internet for a while- housemate makes automatic payments, his card, expired, he was, of course, on vacation - phone company won't allow any info to you if you're not the name on the bill. Boooo SBC.

David Ryan Harris was wonderful as ever this evening at the Hotel Cafe.  Tonight's theme was love.  Some loveable things about the show and tonight in general:

Lucky in love: Virtually no traffic either way.

The Power of Love: David's voice.  Period.

Seasons of Love:  Beautiful weather.  Even the light jacket I had with me never made itself useful.

Last night:  Ernie Halter and Tony Lucca at the fabulous  Hotel Cafe.  I love me some acoustic.

Maybe it's because I haven't seen Tony live in a while, but I can't remember the last time I saw him that his voice was so strong.  His belt is back, with a vengance.  Good heavens, I could listen to that boy live for hours.

Saw Sweeney Todd Friday. Well done in a small space. Sweeney was a little over the top, as was the Judge. All in all a solid production. More than sold out, we sat on the stairs with many others, and they even sold some standing room up top. I really wouldn't have expected that show to do so well in Orange County.
