Uneasy Listening
Extremely windy today. Horribly gusty at Richmond station this morning.
I discovered today that my Finnish work colleague did his Masters with Linus Torvalds at the University of Helsinki; poor Linus nearly didn't get his MSc degree because writing Linux (the very core of the future global open source movement) wasn't really innovative enough. My colleague admitted that he had meanwhile been down the pub mostly.
I've been listening to a lot of British electro group Plaid recently, after I stumbled over a soundtrack they did for a Japanese anime film called Tekkon Kinkreet ("Black and White"). It's kinda hard to pin down genre as their stuff veers between ambient chill-out and clashing electronic, but personally it's great for shutting out noise and getting work done.
