This years trip to Paris has far outdone any other time I have visited my favourite place and if possible I have fallen even more in love with the country. The indecisive weather and quirky hotel, answering the question 'do you speak English' with 'Ferrero Rocher?', queuing for an hour and three quarters to get into the Catacombs only to run through the dark corridors screaming and holding hands and being forced to watch a television program about cows because it was the only English channel has made this a trip I will never forget.
As for shopping I had been hoping to pick up another pair of Christian Louboutin shoes but unfortunately they didn't have the pair I wanted in my size. Hopefully I will be able to get them when I go to London in October! I did manage to return home with a small box of macarons from Ladurée, two brooches from Sonia Rykiel, a cameo locket from Allison, Embroylisse cream, perfume from Fragonard, cinnamon and chocolate powder, Jalouse and Vogue Paris and an eyeliner and mascara from Sephora.
At Sephora they gave me a free sample of the new Yves Saint Laurent perfume 'Parisienne' and I have fallen in love with the scent. It is so perfect and I must must must purchase a bottle next time I go shopping! I'm not quite sure when this will be though as I start work this coming Thursday, a prospect of which I'm feeling fairly nervous about. I am trying to distract myself by over preparing resources and challenge activities. Wish me luck!
