i went to Dad's last weekend and spent time with him, my step-mum Sue and the kids. we went to visit a farm (where i underestimated the sun pretty badly and have ended up with bright pink shoulders), played water games in the garden, built Dylan's new Tardis-shaped wardrobe for his Doctor Who bedroom and had a delicious barbecue to celebrate Dad's birthday. we also played with his new Wii Fit, which Sue had fought tooth and nail to get, even to the extent of writing a strongly worded email when the company she'd ordered from indicated that they might run out of stock. if there was any doubt in my mind about getting one for myself, it's completely vanished - it's just so clever! we all registered our Mii characters on there, and went through the set up where it calculates your BMI and tests your "Wii Fitness Age". Dad, Sue and Dylan (7) each came out about 20 years older than they actually are, Charlotte (4) came out as 14, and I came out as 24. i was also the record holder for ski slalom when i left, although i think Dylan will have probably beaten me by now! he loves the Wii.
i finished making a video of Daisy today, the one of my mum's collies that is sensible and doesn't climb trees. turn the sound up, i spent ages searching around for the right piece of music to go with the clip!
