Why Ianto Jones shouldn't be second in command at Torchwood
I thought of a couple of reasons today:
1. It wouldn't work for the team, the dynamics would become Ianto and Jack, and then the rest.
2. Ianto wouldn't disagree with Jack strongly enough on a regular enough basis, or if he did sex would insue rather than mission
3. Ianto is not a leader type. He has witty comments and reasearch skills but does not step forward to take charge.
4. He is uncomfortable with the idea of shooting people, he isn't ruthless enough
5. There would be loss opportunity to for him to make coffee
6. He is still too young and inexperienced with life to be ready to take charge of a team at a moments notice.
7. If Leader were to suddenly piss off again, Ianto would be too busy destroying things/being Emo and eating icecream to lead effectively.
If anyone thinks of any counters or any more to add let me know!
It's taken forever to post this. There is a distinct lack of enough working laptops in the house and its ruthless over who gets to use it Basically get your hands on it and don't even suggest giving it over.
*grin* that is why I am smuggling it to bed tonight...well that and I will want it at 4.30 in the morning when I get up for Japanese Grand Prix
