Hey you!
It's been a while. I don't really have much to say despite that. Just doing assignments, and essays and what have you. I haven't started my psych essay yet. It's due in Friday. I've got all day tomorrow though, and I'll read some of the books when I get home from my meeting tonight. I'm sure I'll be fine. The topic scares me though. "Why do some children have autism? Discuss." In 1700 words. It's the third year paper too, so I'm not quite sure how i'm supposed to write an essay at third year level in 1700 words... Maybe that's why third year is so much harder, because you have to say more in depth stuff in less words. I don't know. The whole thing intimidates me. The bright side is that 1700 words will take less time to write than 3000, I guess that's a good thing.
Jon and Em are making fish tonight. Our fourtnightly serving. Man, on Sunday they made this Spanish chicken thing, and it called for apple cider, and for some unknown reason, Jon thought that white wine vinegar would be a good substitute. So they added 3/4 of a cup of it. It was so funny, none of us could finish it. I had to explain that white wine vinegar was vinegar with a little bit of white wine, or just wine flavour, not wine with a little bit of vinegar. But that's what flatmates are for right? At least now he knows, and it wasn't a romantic dinner he was making for Em that he screwed up. Ivan and Em and I have a sence of humar, so I'd rather he made mistakes on us, if you get what I mean.
We're nearly ready to run our lab on Thursday. It's a group thing where we have to come up with a theory to test, come up with a test, do it our lab class, then write up the report. It's a HUGE assignment. We just had our mid semester break, like everyone else, although, unlike everyone else, we only got a week... And that was all spent working on the lab with the other girls, so it wasn't really a holiday anyway.
Ivan's doing good, incase you were wondering. He doesn't have any asignments at the moment, so he's just cruising. Emilia's burns are healing really well. Her face is almost normal, and her hand looks almost skin coloured. It's still all pink, but it looks like skin pink, not like red paint. So that's good. My burns are healed too, although they were significantly less severe. I picked up a cookie tray just after Ivan had taken it out of the oven... I went to the toilet while he was taking it out, and I came back and went "That looks like it's going to fall" so I grabbed in to push it further onto the bench. I burnt my thumb and a line across all my fingers on my left hand. But it's all gone now.
I've taken to making cup cakes. The others are not complaining. Every time I make them I seem to get more out of the mixture.
It's really cold down here. There's ice on the sidewalks down the hill some mornings. You can never tell what to wear.
And now I'm rambling.
I'm coming home on the 17th of June. Mum's coming down for my birthday. I'm looking forward to both.
I have to go to my meeting now, so I'll see you guys when I come home or something.
Bye
