Be Drunk!

Know what I like most about drinking? Well, besides the mini-vactions it affords you from your real problems it's a nice dose of truth serum. And I could be speaking of just what it does to me but it also does the same thing to other people. While this does have potential problems, if you're within the right company it can do wonders.

I'm the kind of person that has a really, really hard time picking up on how people feel about me through implicit actions (meaning, I need people to explicitly tell me how/what they are thinking). These actions are always driven by what people think or feel about me. Unfortunately, in every day-to-day situations it's just not socially acceptable to strike up conversations about you really feel about an individual.

But under the guise of "being drunk" all those stigma's disappear and it becomes perfectly fine to tell others how you feel and think about them and their actions.

Completely sober I have no problem with telling people how I really feel about them but only if they ask me. But I find that when I drink those thoughts seem to come out on their own without provocation whether anyone likes it or not. And when others drink, it's just a little easier to get out of them how they feel.

So, in conclusion, pop some Soma a la Brave New World and be happy!
