So today I, in association with Kathy, Lauren, Susan and John, surprised Marne by taking her out for her birthday, which is on Tuesday. We had a Plan A, but due to inclement weather we went to Plan B. Plan A will be implemented some other time. So anyway, we started out by going to Storyteller's Cafe at the Grand Californian hotel. Chip came by and sang happy birthday with the waiters and we saw Stuie there. I really like that restaurant, it's really pretty. So anyway, from there we moved to Disney Ice, and ice skated for about an hour and a half. That was really fun! I haven't been ice skating in so long! I remember taking skating lessons when I was like in kindergarten, but obviously that didn't really help me today. I managed to pick it up rather quickly though. We played games when we could. John and I would swoop past Lauren and both sides, grab her butt and excaim "Good game!" It was fun! Then we got home. Originally we planned to go see Finding Neverland, but it was raining like no other. So we just watched two movies: Stepford Wives and The Parent Trap and ate pizza. I can't tell you how much I enjoy The Parent Trap; the remake with Lindsay Lohan when she was like 12. When I was younger and had the movie on video, I used to watch it like every other day. And then, watching it again today, I saw a totally different perspective on it. I saw it more from the parents' side and the love between the parents and the daughters. It was beautiful. I actually started tearing up at the very end when the father and daughter show up in the study of the mother's house. But enough of my mushiness.
