Fuji is the real PoT *___* !!!

Oct 29, 2007 22:08

Some of you might probably know this already but I've been uberly convinced from the very beginning that Fuji's the real Prince of Tennis, not Ryoma. There are less than half a dozen chapters left and I thought it's time to clarify my point of view ;DD

Here are evidences I've collected, that indicate that Fuji's the real Prince of Tennis!! )

prince of tennis, crack, analysis, fuji is a genius, blabla

He has nine counters, three of which are evolved forms of pre-existing counters. "Six triple counters" implies he has 18 counters.

I don't think we need to go and say Ryoma's no longer the main character, just that yes, Ryoma's there to draw out his potential. :3

He has nine counters, three of which are evolved forms of pre-existing counters.
His newest counter is (according to the Genius363) the 6th counter called Hoshi Hanabi. Fuji and Konomi don't differentiate between the evolved forms ;D

"Six triple counters" implies he has 18 counters.
But Fuji views all of his counters as part of the Triple counters ;D
I still clearly remember someone in the manga saying "OMG that's Fuji's fourth Triple Counter^^ I actually don't see any contradiction by saying Six Triple Counters ;D

That doesn't invalidate one choosing to differentiate between them.

Mm, I'd have to say that the first three counters are the triple counter. They were his only three at the time of introduction, so they were known collectively as that. The other other three haven't been shown to be related to each other, and it's implied that he didn't develop them until after the Rikkai arc. Thus I beg to differ.

he doesn't need any magical power unlike Tezuka and Ryoma ;D.

I beg to differ. Do you see any character defying EVERY SINGLE LAW OF PHYSICS EVER MADE as much as Fuji? Yukimura doesn't count. Just because he went through a surgery that doesn't exist doesn't mean he has magical powers. Fuji is the only one that does the impossible consistently, so I have to say that he has more magical powers than Tezuka and Echizen COMBINED!

If you wanted a princess of tennis, you'd have to go with Yukimura... Fuji's been too masculine in the most recent geniuses to be a princess.

I actually really like your theories, though. ^__^ I think you're right, but my main point of support is that even Konomi has forgotten Echizen recently. I mean... what happened to his amnesia? He hasn't even been mentioned for a while! Not that I'm complaining...

LOL I know, magical power is everywhere in PoT
Fuji can walk around with perpetually closed eyes without bumping into everyone else ;D

my main point of support is that even Konomi has forgotten Echizen recently
I'm not complaing either ;D I didn't want to put that in since I wanted to keep my post Fuji-centric. But you're right, this is probably one of the major evidences that Ryoma's getting less important...

Which is the ultimate magic. Apparently he uses it in his matches too. O_O That boy seriously... defies all odds. I love that guy. ♥

^0^ I love Fuji as well, playing tennis with his eyes closed = pure genius or magical power !!!

"The chapters in Prince of Tennis are called Genius. Not Brat244, neither Pillar01 nor Samurai345, they are called GENIUS ==> FUJI SHUUSUKE!!!"

-this made me laugh. Fuji is awesome and made of win. Cool thing about Fuji meaning 'not second', I didn't know that. All I knew was that Fuji was an illusion to Fuji films and so one of Fuji's hobbies was photography. I think, actually, there are more than one prince in Prince of Tennis and so it should be called Princes of Tennis. I mean, we have Tezuka, Fuji, Yukimura, Atobe (who calls himself ore-sama, what more proof do we need?) and several others.

One thing's certain: Ryoma = brat, not prince. Agreed.

I think the author was just having fun with his name. Same thing goes for him liking apples. :P

BTW I don't think I've seen Yukimura play tennis yet... what chapters?

Yes, Konomi probably thinks that his puns are pretty funny^^
Maybe, it's just me with interpretaing too much, but I don't think that's a coincidence that Fuji's kanji can mean "not second"

We only see Yukimura holding a racket in some of chapters. No match was shown and we know next to nothing about his play style, but they are some backgorund infos e.g. that he played against Kirihara at least once. Remember when Kirihara remembers that he was crushed by Rikkai's demons?

oh I'm not disagreeing with the "not second" part at all =) I've read somewhere that Konomi has once said Fuji is his favorite character... I haven't been able to find the original reference yet. Anyone know about this?

Anyhow given how predicable PoT has always been, we know Ryoma is the "chosen one", but wouldn't it be cool if Konomi came out in the end (read: my daydream) to say "I got you all fooled, Fuji is the real prince!"? It would be like a super twist ending! =)

LOLS

Actually, they really make sense! No PoT chapter is called Pillar### or BrattyKid### or Madamada###...but Genius###!!! You're right! And he owns a lot of things that has "prince" on it! But I must agree to your sister as well that Fuji should be called Princess of Tennis instead hehehehe!!

No, Fuji's the smexiest Tenipuri bishounen; he's not a girl!! Tezuka can prove that!! even though FujiShiraishi or AtobeFuji is much hotter, but unfortunately not as canon!!

I don't think the "Genius" chapter argument is really valid, because both Oshitari and Marui are considered geniuses, as well.

I'm not going to comment on the other arguments, because I'm biased and I really, really, really don't like Fuji, so... yeah. :x

Guess what, I'm a biased Fuji fangirl XDD
You're right however^^ There are like 23453456 geniuses in the PoT universe where middle schoolers are superior to Pro Players ^o^
