Fuji is the real PoT *___* !!!
Some of you might probably know this already but I've been uberly convinced from the very beginning that Fuji's the real Prince of Tennis, not Ryoma. There are less than half a dozen chapters left and I thought it's time to clarify my point of view ;DD
1. Prince references
Probably most noticable, what's up with all the Prince references arounf Fuji?
Firstly, he looks like a prince, doesn't he? okay this doesn't count -.-
His rackets are from the brand Prince
Furthermore he has copy of The little Prince in his school bag^^ This can't be just something without any further meaning right ;D
okay, these hints might be old but read on!!
2. Personality & Character Depth
a) Honestly, in my opinion Fuji's got the most interesting personality of all the characters present in Prince of Tennis. Apart from Yukimura, he's the most mysterious, only showing his true self occasionally, eg. to Tezuka, when Fuji asks him about his motivations (in the match vs. Kirihara chaoters). I think that compared to Ryoma, Fuji's a much deeper character which is weird since everyone assumes that Ryoma's the main character. Furthermore, his attacks are much more distinctively developed by Konomi^^ This might not be enough to convice everyone since it's just based on my opinion, but I'm trying to proof his character depth now.
b) His name
So, according to everyone else Fuji's Seigaku's No. 2, Tezuka being No. 1^^ However according to wikipedia the kanji in Fuji (不二) can stand for 'not second', in my opinion that can't be just a coincidence. This proves to me that Konomi has reasoned this aspect from the very beginning and shows that there is a lot behind Fuji's character.
3. Genius
Fuji is a genius, he doesn't need Muga or State of Self-Actualization but still kicks ass^^ he doesn't need any magical power unlike Tezuka and Ryoma ;D.
In every Fuji match we hear at least 32785 times that Fuji's a genius, no one can disagree here.
He's got SIX (!!) Triple counters, only a genius who isn't able to count can have that!!!
As far as I remember Ryoma isn't considered a genius, he's just samurai junior, the bratty first year, Seigaku's Pillar of Support etc.
My point?
The chapters in Prince of Tennis are called Genius. Not Brat244, neither Pillar01 nor Samurai345, they are called GENIUS ==> FUJI SHUUSUKE!!!
Conclusion
I'm convinced that Fuji's the real Prince of Tennis, the true main character.
Ryoma's existence is only to draw out FUJI's potential not the other way around^^
