Been a while.
The Stripes rocked as viciously as I expected. Really exciting stuff, although I would have liked a little bit more representation from Get Behind Me Satan (especially because Denial Twist rearranged for guitar was pretty sweet). It is a minor complaint, though.
Returning to State is sneaking up on me again. I've done better keeping in touch with most people this summer (most is the key word...I know I've forgotten some), so it would seem that this coming year will be the best yet at college. My biggest worry now is getting my saxophone playing in gear for my return, as I mentioned almost a month ago now. If it's not, I can't claim that I never had time to practice around here...it's difficult to practice when there's no pressing incentive, but thata's not much of an excuse.
I need to find that inner drive and reason to stick to it even outside of the college environment. Purpose! I have it on a larger scale relating to my degree program, but I need to recognize that the little steps are really going to get me there. Easier said than done, really.
But, as is the norm, spelling it out is the first step in turning it around. Here's hoping.
