Holy Shit
It's been FAR too long since I kept this thing up to date.
The last few times I updated, I got comment spammed and kinda stopped bothering to clean them up. Oh what a wonderful silly thing the internet is.
It creeps me out a little that the header on this LJ page has computers/phones/cameras/memory cards/CD's/etc all over it! Working with tech every day the consumer side of me has been long dead. All the "stuff" I want these days are tools (and each one has a distinct or shared role to perform!)
Sometime over the next year I have to unload a METRIC SHIT-TONNE of stuff. I have FAR too much stuff. One of my largest fears in life is being unable to pick-up and move all my stuff myself. It currently looks like it weighs thousands of pounds in total, it frightens me. Maybe this winter, or early next spring, I'll put together a table outside the building here and try to sell a few things for "the sum of a dollar". I admit that if I can pickup some extra money to replace junk with tools: I'll be all over it.
Being out of debt rocks. I spent so much of my life fearing that owing so much for so long I'd never claw my way back to sanity. Now, being debt free, my entire outlook on social situations has changed. I'm done borrowing, no matter how bad things get: my problems are my own.
HOPING to get some new glass for the old camera this winter, I've been on the lookout for used Canon L lenses. There's been a few fairly nice lenses up on Kijiji, but not quite what I've been looking for.
