Yesterday I had the day off work, and wet up with a friend for a walk - and we walked about 6 1/2 miles, including the village of Ogwell, Devon ... and as you can see by the SKY it was a lovely day for a walk!

Sorry for the long silence - I'm not on Livejournal nearly as often as I used to be, and with the pandemic going on I've been sticking fairly close to home since I'm in high-risk categories. But I do have a very nice horse statue nearby in Kensington Gardens and have taken dozens of pictures of it - it's one of my go-to sites for testing camera ( Read more... )

Wow! This has been the summer of challenging prompts! Not a lot of horses in my life in recent years. I just went through thousands of photos before I found anything related to horses.

First I thought I would be stuck with this--a picture of horses on a light fixtures in a restaurant in my hometown (saw them on a visit there several years ago):

Today is the 27th July, and for me it's a day of sad remembrance. as I had to say Goodbye to my boy ... he was only 10.  I had learnt to ride only in my late 30's and Jaykub was the only pony I saw being delivered, and I fell in love!  For the last 18 months of his life I owned him, as Mum gave him to me as a gift.  He was one very special boy.
