Horse Statue

Sorry for the long silence - I'm not on Livejournal nearly as often as I used to be, and with the pandemic going on I've been sticking fairly close to home since I'm in high-risk categories. But I do have a very nice horse statue nearby in Kensington Gardens and have taken dozens of pictures of it - it's one of my go-to sites for testing camera lenses!







This is "Physical Energy" by George Frederic Watts (1817-1904), one of four bronze castings - which the artist described as ‘a symbol of that restless physical impulse to seek the still unachieved in the domain of material things’.
